It has been over a year since those Agent Provocateur ads came out starring Maggie Gyllenhaal. However, it’s only now that the actress has spilled on how her brother, Jake Gyllenhaal, teased her for appearing in the lingerie campaign.
“I didn’t know how scrutinized I’d be,” she recently told USA Today. “My brother called me and said, ‘I’m in Heathrow, and there’s a 12-foot picture of you upside down in a negligee.’”
Jake’s sister Maggie talked to Marie Claire about how Jake is around kids - among other things, of course. Here’s what she had to say:
“He’s great with kids â it comes naturally to him,” Maggie says in the August issue of Marie Claire, about Jake Gyllenhaal, frequently seen in the company of girlfriend and her children. “He really has that touch.”
Maggie’s new film, The Dark Knight, is out this week.
Jake and his girlfriend Reese Witherspoon went out to dinner with Jerry Bruckheimer, the producer of the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise and who will also produce Jake’s upcoming film Prince of Persia. I’ve just added some HQ pictures of that day to the gallery:
Us Weekly is reporting on this week’s issue that Jake has moved in with his girlfriend Reese Witherspoon. “Sources” close to the actress have supposedly told the magazine that the couple is closer and closer to the altar.
But, just like anything else published on Us Weekly, this cannot be confirmed, since neither Jake or his reps have commented on the subject.

It has also been reported that Jake is currently in London filming Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time (already!) and Reese went along. They are apparently residing in a ÂŁ1.9 million property in West London, that is, Notting Hill. A source said: “[Reese] loves England and has been really looking forward to spending this time living with Jake.”
Jake Gyllenhaal has topped a poll of the Hot 100 gay icons.
The 27-year-old actor â who famously starred in a homosexual love scene with Heath Ledger in Brokeback Mountain â came first in the survey of 100,000 people on gay website AfterElton.com, for the second consecutive year.
The website says: âWhat accounts for Jakeâs ongoing appeal to gay men? His doe-eyed, boy next door (yet somehow smouldering) looks certainly donât hurt, but we suspect what really makes gay men go for him is that he doesnât have an issue going for us.
âJake has done as much as any actor to show straight guys there isnât a good reason to be afraid of gay guys or gay roles.â
Jake beat Torchwood star John Barrowman and Brothers and Sisters actor Luke McFarlane to the top spot.
Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes opened up their new home for an intimate housewarming party — with more than 500 of their friends, according to E! Online and Us.
The extravagant event was catered by Wolfgang Puck, and an orchestra entertained the A-list crowd.
Guests included Reese Witherspoon, Jake Gyllenhaal, Eva Longoria Parker, Kimora Lee Simons, Diddy, Prince, Tobey Maguire, J. Lo, Brooke Shields, Ben Stiller and Oprah. And, there was family: Cruise’s mother and sister were among the first to arrive.
Although Reese’s reps had no comments and Jake’s people denied it, OK! Magize’s cover story features “Jake & Reese’s wedding plans”.
Friends of the pair say it won’t be long now before Jake pops the question to his lady love. “They’ve been talking marriage for a while,” a source close to Reese reveals to OK!. “They’ll be formally engaged any day now. They want to spend the rest of their lives together.”

Some of Hollywoodâs hottest stars are being spotted all over Columbia, S.C. as filming on the movie Nailedcontinues in the capital city this week.
Oscar winner Reese Witherspoon and her boyfriend Jake Gyllenhaal were spotted making out just outside of the S.C. Governorâs Office this afternoon.
Apparently, the pair were coming back from a Starbucks in the cityâs Vista District, where they have been seen together on numerous occasions since the movie started filming on the State House grounds two weeks ago.
Sources tell us Gyllenhaal has also accepted an invitation from S.C. Governor Mark Sanford to join him and his family for dinner tomorrow night at the Governorâs Mansion, although actress Jessica Biel has yet to accept the governorâs invite.
