It has been over a year since those Agent Provocateur ads came out starring Maggie Gyllenhaal. However, it’s only now that the actress has spilled on how her brother, Jake Gyllenhaal, teased her for appearing in the lingerie campaign.
“I didn’t know how scrutinized I’d be,” she recently told USA Today. “My brother called me and said, ‘I’m in Heathrow, and there’s a 12-foot picture of you upside down in a negligee.’”
Jake’s sister Maggie talked to Marie Claire about how Jake is around kids - among other things, of course. Here’s what she had to say:
“He’s great with kids â it comes naturally to him,” Maggie says in the August issue of Marie Claire, about Jake Gyllenhaal, frequently seen in the company of girlfriend and her children. “He really has that touch.”
Maggie’s new film, The Dark Knight, is out this week.
Actor Jake Gyllenhaal will join his sister Maggie at one of The Dark Knight premieres in a bid to pay tribute to his Brokeback Mountain co-star and friend Heath Ledger. Jake Gyllenhaal, the godfather of Ledger’s two-year-old daughter with Michelle Williams, is planning to attend one of the upcoming U.S. premieres. He’ll support his sister Maggie, who worked with tragic Ledger on the new Batman film.
A source tells OK! magazine, “Jake is debating coming to the New York city premiere or waiting to be Maggie’s date at an L.A. (Los Angeles) screening.
“He wants this to be something positive that will celebrate the role of a lifetime and a performance of which Heath was so proud.” Ledger’s parents and sister are also expected to jet to New York from their home in Perth, Australia, to attend the New York premiere on 14 July (08). Ledger was found dead in his New York apartment in January (08).
Us Weekly is reporting on this week’s issue that Jake has moved in with his girlfriend Reese Witherspoon. “Sources” close to the actress have supposedly told the magazine that the couple is closer and closer to the altar.
But, just like anything else published on Us Weekly, this cannot be confirmed, since neither Jake or his reps have commented on the subject.

It has also been reported that Jake is currently in London filming Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time (already!) and Reese went along. They are apparently residing in a ÂŁ1.9 million property in West London, that is, Notting Hill. A source said: “[Reese] loves England and has been really looking forward to spending this time living with Jake.”
“Nailed” has finished filming in Columbia for good after the shoot never resumed from weekend walk-off by movie crews who said they were not getting paid.
Producers were hoping to resume filming Monday, but crews refused to work on the comedy starring Jake Gyllenhaal and Jessica Biel, Variety reported.
It’s unclear if producers have enough money to get the movie into theaters.
Even in the final stretch of filming in Columbia, “Nailed” can’t catch a break.

Filming was expected to start again today, a source told Variety. The S.C. Film Commission said it did not know if shooting had resumed. Attempts to reach the production company of “Nailed” was unsuccessful today.

First, James Caan walked off the set of David O’Russell’s Nailed. Now, according to Variety, the entire production has shut down due to financial problems, which leaves both Jake Gyllenhaal and Jessica Biel without a job until further notice.
This is the third time the production has been put on hold. IATSE leaders instructed below-the-line crewmembers not to show up last Thursday when they were not paid. A person close to the project insists that the project will in fact start back up again sometime next week.
The film is scheduled to wrap sometime in June, but its future is murky at best.
Production halted last week after workers reportedly werenât being paid
Shooting resumed Monday in Columbia on the movie âNailed,â according to a movie spokesperson.
Production was interrupted Thursday for a second time when members of the International Alliance of Theatrical and Stage Employees were ordered to stay away from the set after not being paid, Variety.com reported. The first work stoppage occurred May 9 when actors â including stars Jake Gyllenhaal and Jessica Biel â were told not to report to work by the Screen Actors Guild.
Capitol Films, the company backing âNailed,â reportedly is suffering a financial crunch, forcing other productions to be sidelined as well, according to Variety and Deadlinehollywood.com, an entertainment blog.
In âNailed,â an uninsured small-town receptionist (Biel) suffers from a freak accident that boosts her libido into overdrive. She goes to Washington to lobby for the rights of âbizarrely injuredâ people. There she meets an immoral congressman (Gyllenhaal), who takes advantage of her sex drive.
Although Reese’s reps had no comments and Jake’s people denied it, OK! Magize’s cover story features “Jake & Reese’s wedding plans”.
Friends of the pair say it won’t be long now before Jake pops the question to his lady love. “They’ve been talking marriage for a while,” a source close to Reese reveals to OK!. “They’ll be formally engaged any day now. They want to spend the rest of their lives together.”
