Discovery Channel has released two sneak peeks and a new commercial for “MAN vs. WILD” episodes in which Jake Gyllenhaal joins the show presenter Bear Grylls in a “surviving” adventure. The first episode airs on Monday July 11th at 9 P.M. on Discovery Channel. Check the commercial above and for the two other videos CLICK HERE.

RealityTVWebsite.com: Bear Grylls has survived in some of the most dangerous places on Earth. From jungles to deserts and from Everest to Antarctica, he travels to places where you couldn’t last a day without the right survival skills. To kick off a run of all-new episodes of MAN VS WILD on Monday, July 11 from 9-10PM ET/PT, Bear brings along a companion – actor Jake Gyllenhaal.

MAN VS WILD will test how Gyllenhaal measures up to unpredictable and unforgiving Mother Nature. For two days, Bear and Jake embark on a survival experience neither will forget, to an Icelandic landscape dominated by mountains, huge glaciers and some of Europe’s most active volcanoes. Jake will have to go where Bear goes, eat whatever Bear eats, and on occasion even take the lead, if he’s going to cope with some of the worst conditions known to man. “For me, it’s all about discovery,” said Gyllenhaal.

Said Bear about the experience, “The wild is always very revealing – not only physically but mentally. You’ve got to smile when it’s driving horizontal hail and be able to face your fears and just get on and do it — and on both of those accounts, Jake came up strong.”

Six new episodes of MAN VS WILD continue Mondays at 9PM ET/PT beginning July 11, with Bear’s adventures taking him to other remote parts of Iceland in blizzard conditions, New Zealand’s South and North Islands, and the Utah badlands. A special compilation episode will mix never-before-seen challenges and behind the scenes from the season.

MAN VS WILD is produced for Discovery Channel by Diverse Productions. Steve Rankin is executive producer for Diverse Productions. Josh Berkley is executive producer for Discovery Channel.

CinemaBlend.com: The upcoming film from Clash of the Titans director Louis Leterrier may still sound a little goofy, but it’s seeking some big talent to possibly add some legitimacy. According to Variety Leterrier is working to cast Jesse Eisenberg, Jake Gyllenhaal and Melanie Laurent in Now You See Me, a heist film about magicians who “pull off daring bank heists during their performances, showering the profits on their audience.”Yeah, I have no idea how that would work either, but the idea of seeing Jesse Eisenberg trying to do it is so bizarre I can’t help but want to see it.

Eisenberg is only in early negotiations for the lead part, while Gyllenhaal and Laurent only have offers, which they could easily turn down. When we first wrote about his project back in February we had heard that the central characters would in fact be the FBI investigators tracking down the rogue magicians, which means we’ll probably see Eisenberg only solving crimes, not pulling a rabbit plus 50 gold bars out of a hat. Disappointing? Sure. But it sounds like there will be plenty more craziness to be entertained by in the movie, which Leterrier has planned as his post-Titans film.

While Gyllenhaal has been known to seek out these kind of action-y roles, and Laurent is so new in her career no choice could be seen as unexpected, Eisenberg seems to be really stretching here. Sure, he did a little action in Zombieland and will be doing it again in 30 Minutes or Less this summer, but since his Oscar-nominated role in The Social Network he’s seemed to be leaning a little more eggheady, filming Woody Allen’s new film in Rome this summer and considering a reunion with his Squid and the Whale director Noah Baumbach. But hey, he’s young and has a lot of newfound starpower– why not chase down expert magicians in the company of Jake Gyllenhaal?

ContactMusic.com: Jake Gyllenhaal’s lawyers are taking action against website bosses who posted a picture online which appears to depict the star in his underwear.

The photo shows the Brokeback Mountain actor in tight white briefs and socks as he stretches on one leg in a pose resembling Grace Jones’ stance on her Island Life album cover.

Gyllenhaal’s legal team has fired off letters to a number of websites, including Queerty.com and Buzzfeed.com, demanding that the photo is removed.

The star’s attorneys write, “As anybody could tell from a cursory examination, this is a fake picture, in which our client’s head has been pasted on the body of another person”, adding that it portrays him “in a false light, violating his right of publicity and constituting a false designation of origin in violation of the Lanham Act”.

But Gyllenhaal has a fight on his hands – chiefs at Queerty.com are refusing to remove the image until it is proved to be a fake: “We’re keeping the photo up, since it hasn’t been proven fake and because their letter bumped it from ‘funny and cute’ to ‘actually newsworthy.’”
