The movie will stars Jessica Biel as a victim of a bizarre brain injury involving a nail that turns her into a nymphomaniac. This leads to her becoming a crusader which leads to her alliance with a congressman played by Jake Gyllenhaal.
Ryan Phillippe has admitted to being a little uncomfortable when it comes to his ex-wife’s new romance with actor Jake Gyllenhaal. The actor admits that he doesn’t look at pictures of former wife Reese Witherspoon with the BrokebackMountain’ star.
“It’s bizarre,†he tells USA Today. “There’s plenty of times when I say, ‘What a strange situation I’ve found myself in.’ But at a certain point you know it’s going to happened, so you are prepared.â€
Phillippe and Witherspoon were married in 1999 and have 2 children. They split in October 2006 and officially divorced in 2007. Witherspoon and Gyllenhaal first stepped out together last March.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, James Marsden, Catherine Keener and Tracy Morgan are in final negotiations to star in Nailed, alongside Jake and Jessica Biel.
Marsden will play small-town the boyfriend of Biel’s character Alice, a naive waitress who gets a nail shot into her head, causing erratic and outrageous behavior. Keener will play a self-serving Congresswoman. The filmmakers are finalizing details on Morgan’s character, who will likely be an injured compatriot of Alice’s who has given up on love.

Ryan Phillippe appeared on The Howard Stern Show on Thursday (March 20) where he was questioned about a string of rumored hook-ups with various Hollywood starlets, and asked how he feels about his ex-wife, Reese Withersppon, and her romance with Jake Gyllenhaal.
In the candid interview, 33-year-old Phillippe discussed what lead to the breakdown of his marriage, saying that the decision to split in 2007 was “mutual” and “leading up to it, we had been spending so much time apart. That’s a huge part of it. There are so many obstacles.”
When questioned about Witherspoon’s reported romance with Gyllenhaal, the actor said, “He’s a good dude. I love her and I want her to be happy, and it seems like she is.”
